The SCC started in 1990 when Slave Spud discovered the Discordian Society. The SCC grew on the campus of Michigan Tech, eventually gaining its own mailing list scc-l, as well as its own newsgroup, alt.discordia.scc and a Google+ page. None of us actually reads the newsgroup. That's just for confusion's sake. In fact, it has become a spam-only group, and PeeWee finds that he can cut down drastically on the overall amount of Usenet spam he has to wade through by killfiling anything posted to it. The SCC has quickly grown, and has become a trans-Atlantic conspiracy, with members in Detroit, San Francisco, Chicago, France and probably just behind you.
